SIMPLE BURGLARY – JOSEPH EDWARD RAMAGOS, III
ASSUMPTION –Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joseph Edward Ramagos, III, 36, of 225 Henry Street, Patterson, LA, on felony charges arising from a watercraft burglary on or about April 19, 2021, near LA 662 in Bayou L’Ourse, LA.
Detectives initiated an investigation which led investigators to St. Mary Parish. On or about May 7, 2021, Assumption Parish Detectives received information from Morgan City Police that an individual, now identified as Dakota Daigle, 27, of 217 Second Street, Morgan City, had implicated himself in the burglary in question. Detectives interviewed Dakota Daigle on May 7, 2021, which resulted in his being arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of Simple Burglary.
This investigation continued and detectives were able to establish probable cause that Joseph Edward Ramagos, III, was a participant in the burglary. In April of 2022, detectives secured a warrant for Ramagos’ arrest.
Joseph Edward Ramagos, III was arrested on April 13, 2022, and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Simple Burglary
Ramagos was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
Dakota Daigle pled guilty to Simple Burglary on November 8, 2021 and is serving a 2 year sentence.
