SIMPLE BURGLARY OF AN INHABITED DWELLING
AMARION M. D. KEYES
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Amarion M. D. Keyes, 21, of 160 Georgette Street, Labadieville, LA, on a felony warrant charging him with burglarizing an inhabited residence in the 100 block of French Lane south of Napoleonville on or about June 22, 2024.
On the aforementioned date, deputies were dispatched to a residence on French Lane and made contact with the complainant who indicated that on the evening of June 22, 2024, he returned to his home and went to retrieve some money that he had previously placed, and the money was no longer there. The complainant advised that he was able to view electronic surveillance and did observe an individual now identified as Amarion M. D. Keyes make forced entry into the home. That entry was illegal and / or unauthorized.
Based on the evidence gathered through investigation, deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Amarion M. D. Keyes.
On June 23, 2024, deputies learned the whereabouts of Amarion M. D. Keyes to be in the vicinity of Alvin Street south of Napoleonville. Deputies located Keyes at which time he fled on foot. Amarion M. D. Keyes was quickly apprehended, arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
*Criminal Trespass
Amarion M. D. Keyes remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
