SIMPLE BURGLARY, SIMPLE CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Caleb A. Guerrero, 29, of 1414 South Road, Bayou Vista, LA, on felony charges related to an early Tuesday morning burglary in Bayou L’Ourse.
On Tuesday morning, deputies responded to a complaint of a burglary in which a mini-bike was stolen from a shed at a residence.
Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised he noticed his mini-bike was missing and had video surveillance of the incident. After reviewing the footage, the victim determined the offense had occurred between 2 and 4 a.m. on Tuesday. The complainant was also able to identify the suspect as Caleb A. Guerrero.
Deputies were able to locate Guerrero at a residence in Bayou L’Ourse where he was arrested.
Guerrero, a convicted felon on parole, was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
The stolen bike was recovered but had sustained engine damage.
Guerrero was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
