SIMPLE BURGLARY / SIMPLE CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jacob Valentino Turner, 32, of 118 Belle Point Lane, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising out of a commercial burglary that occurred in Bayou L’Ourse on January 9, 2021.
On that date, deputies responded to the complaint and determined that forced entry had been made into the business. The unknown subjects attempted to access an ATM machine inside the business and attempted to steal goods before they activated the alarm system.
Detectives initiated an investigation and determined that the same suspects may have been responsible for similar crimes in other jurisdictions.
At some point, detectives were able to identify Jacob Valentino Turner as a suspect along with Donnie Daigle, 30, of 209 Jefferson Street, Napoleonville, LA. Daigle was arrested on February 17, 2021 on identical charges. Daigle also faced similar charges in Gonzales. Turner remained at large.
On Wednesday, Jacob Valentino Turner was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Simple Burglary
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish
Jacob Valentino Turner remains incarcerated in lieu of $100,000 bond.
