SIMPLE BURGLARY, THREATS TOWARDS LAW-ENFORCEMENT – JASON MICHAEL ONCALE
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jason Michael Oncale, 42, of 1118 Highway 3185, Thibodaux, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from an incident on December 21, 2022 in the 100 block of Bertie Street south of Napoleonville.
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to the accused, now identified as Jason Michael Oncale burglarizing a vehicle. Deputies made contact with the complainant who indicated that Jason Michael Oncale was sitting on the front porch.
Upon approaching the suspect, Jason Michael Oncale ran from the front porch and into a vehicle. Oncale locked all the doors and used a blanket to cover his torso area as well as his hands. Oncale refused deputies commands to show his hands.
Additional deputies arrived and worked for some time to remove Oncale from the vehicle. During the process, Jason Michael Oncale made numerous threats towards deputies. Deputies had to forcefully remove Oncale from the vehicle.
At the time, Jason Michael Oncale made complaints of physical pain from an unrelated issue. Jason Michael Oncale was transported to a hospital for treatment of a non-specified injury. Deputies requested and were granted warrants for Oncale’s arrest.
Jason Michael Oncale was arrested on Richard Lane on Friday evening and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
*Criminal Mischief
*Criminal Trespassing
*Possession of Tools for a Crime
*Public Intimidation and Retaliation
*Resisting an Officer – 2 Counts
*Simple Burglary
Jason Michael Oncale remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
