SIMPLE CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY (FELONY) THEFT
ASHANTI RENEE JOSEPH WARD

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ashanti Renee Joseph Ward, 22, of 525 East Hamilton Street, Gonzales, LA, on felony criminal damage and theft charges arising from an incident dating back to January 2, 2024.

On the aforementioned date, deputies were dispatched to the Marshall Lane area off of LA 401 in reference to a criminal damage complaint.

Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that multiple individuals including Ashanti Renee Joseph Ward had caused extensive damage to the interior of a family residence following a dispute. The damages were estimated at $5,000 to $8,000. Personal items were allegedly stolen from the home as well.

As a result of this incident, deputies obtained arrest warrants for Ashanti Renee Joseph Ward.

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ward on March 12, 2025.

Ashanti Renee Joseph Ward was transferred to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on March 14, 2025. Ward was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Simple Criminal Damage to Property – Felony
*Theft

Ashanti Renee Joseph Ward remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
