SUGARCANE HARVEST SEASON

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announces that the sugarcane harvest season begins in Assumption Parish tomorrow as well as in most other areas surrounding us.

With the harvest season getting underway, there will be an increase of machinery and cane haulers using the highways to transport their product to market.

We ask that everyone be vigilant of your surroundings as you travel the highways. We can expect foggy conditions for the next few days, so again, please take a little extra time to get to your destination.

We wish all the motoring public, our residents and the farming community a safe and prosperous sugarcane harvest.
