SUSPICIOUS PERSON / VEHICLE COMPLAINT
SHIRLENE R. LEBLANC
BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shirleen R. LeBlanc, 67, of 135 Highway 403, Napoleonville, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a suspicious persons / vehicle complaint on Sunday afternoon near LA 1000 south of Belle Rose.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail responded to the complaint and encountered the vehicle in the 6600 block of LA 996.
The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Shirlene R. LeBlanc and noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from her person. The deputy further noted LeBlanc’s walking, turning, and balance to be impaired. During a walk around inspection of the vehicle, the deputy observed open containers of alcoholic beverages present in the interior of the vehicle. During the investigation, deputies seized a quantity of oxycodone.
Shirlene R. LeBlanc was arrested. LeBlanc stated she had no other items of contraband in her possession. Shirlene R. LeBlanc underwent intoxilyzer testing and recorded a breath sample of .138 grams%. During the booking process, corrections officers seized a knife off the person of Shirlene R. LeBlanc.
Deputies booked LeBlanc into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Taking Contraband to/from a Penal Institution
*Possession of Oxycodone
*Driving While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
Shirlene R. LeBlanc posted a $150,000 commercial bond.
