SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE / I.C.E. ARREST

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Drake Joseph Geisler, 30, of Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a suspicious vehicle investigation in Bayou L’Ourse on Tuesday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle parked in a location which appeared to be suspicious. The deputy observed a male subject exiting from around the rear of a business and get into a vehicle. The deputy gave lawful orders to the suspect now identified as Drake Joseph Geisler, but the suspect refused to comply. Geisler was eventually taken into custody.
The deputy summoned a K-9 to the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle exterior which alerted positive to the presence of illegal narcotics. During a search of that vehicle, deputies located heroin, methamphetamine, multiple doses of Alprazolam (Xanax) and numerous doses of sublingual (sleep) strips.
Drake Joseph Geisler was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Prohibited Acts Schedule IV
*Prohibited Acts Schedule II
*Prohibited Acts Schedule IV
*Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Alprazolam (Xanax) with Intent to Distribute
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin
*Resisting an Officer
*Detainer – Probation / Parole
Drake Joseph Geisler remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
