SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE INVESTIGATION, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – BRANDEN MICHAEL GUTHERIDGE
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Branden Michael Gutheridge, 53, of 250 South Bay Road, Pierre Part, LA, after deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle complaint at a business establishment off of LA 1 in Paincourtville early Friday.
Deputies responded and located the vehicle and found the driver slumped into the steering wheel. The male subject now identified as Branden Michael Gutheridge appeared disoriented and advised deputies that he had parked at the location to rest.
During the interview process, Branden Michael Gutheridge acknowledged the presence of a knife in his possession. Deputies then conducted a protective pat down sweep of the person of Gutheridge at which time deputies seized suspected methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia.
Branden Michael Gutheridge was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Branden Michael Gutheridge remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
