SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE INVESTIGATION
TREVOR MICHAEL PROULX – I.C.E. ARREST
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Trevor Michael Proulx, 19, of 6313 Gaspard Road, New Iberia, LA, after deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle near Belle River. An I.C.E. assigned deputy observed a vehicle parked at a location and approached the vehicle in order to investigate.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Trevor Michael Proulx. The deputy also identified one female passenger. The deputy conducted officer / violator interviews with the driver and the passenger. The deputy concluded that further investigation was warranted and requested a K-9 at the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of marijuana and one large caliber handgun.
Trevor Michael Proulx was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Criminal Trespass
Trevor Michael Proulx remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
