SUSPICOUS VEHICLE / PERSON, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
GHINELLE MARIE RIVERE

PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ghinelle Marie Rivere, 48, of 1470 Highway 402, Napoleonville, LA, after deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle behind a local business in Plattenville early Friday morning.

A deputy on patrol noticed the vehicle after normal operating hours and upon investigation, discovered Ghinelle Marie Rivere to be nearby.

The deputy noted Rivere to be acting in a nervous manner and sweating profusely.

During the officer / violator interview, deputies obtained consent to search Rivere’s automobile.

During the search process, cocaine and drug paraphernalia was recovered.

Ghinelle Marie Rivere was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Criminal Trespass
*Possession of Cocaine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Rivere remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
