TAKING CONTRABAND – BRITTANY MCBRIDE DANDRIDGE
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Brittany McBride Dandridge, 34, of 114 Oakridge Avenue, Donaldsonville, LA, on felony charges of introducing contraband into the parish detention center.
Over a two-month period, Correctional Officers intercepted contraband including cellular devices and other items prohibited by law.
The facility Warden initiated an investigation which included the securing of numerous search warrants. As a result, investigators were able to identify Brittany McBride Dandridge as a suspect.
Based upon the completion of the investigation, deputies concluded that Brittany McBride Dandridge was receiving financial inducements in return for smuggling illegal contraband into the facility.
Based on all evidence obtained during the investigation, deputies secured arrest warrants charging Brittany McBride Dandridge with multiple felony charges.
Brittany McBride Dandridge was arrested at the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Wednesday and booked on charges of:
*Taking Contraband to / from a Penal Institution (4 Counts)
At the time of her arrest, Dandridge was an employee of a food service provider for the detention facility. Brittany McBride Dandridge remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
