TAKING CONTRABAND TO / FROM A PENAL INSTITUTION

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Mekhi Markus Millican, 18, of 6943 Caravel Court, Baker, LA, on felony charges related to the introduction of certain items to the detention facility intended to be delivered to incarcerated person(s).

On Thursday, Mekhi Marcus Millican delivered generally allowed clothing articles to the Assumption Parish Detention Center which he was providing to an incarcerated inmate.

A corrections officer received the items of clothing but noticed some irregularities with the material. Upon closer inspection, the corrections officer identified contraband. Mekhi Markus Millican was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

Mekhi Markus Millican was incarcerated and released on a $20,000 bond.
