SHERIFF PURCHASES 2ND SAND BAGGING MACHINE

NAPOLEONVILLE – During the last flood event, Sheriff Leland Falcon purchased the 1st sand bagging machine in the parish. Today, frustrated by not being able to produce the amount of sandbags needed, Sheriff Falcon purchased another sandbagging machine. With the purchase of this machine, we will be able to deliver twice the sand bags as before. The machine, purchased under an emergency declaration, cost about $23,000.

Sheriff Falcon is pleased to be able to deliver this much needed service to the residents of Assumption Parish. As you can see the 2nd machine purchased on today has been delivered and is already producing the needed sandbags.
