THEFT (FELONY) MONETARY INSTRUMENT ABUSE

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of David Terrebonne, 28, of 520-A St. Charles Bypass Road, Thibodaux, LA, on felony theft and monetary instrument abuse charges arising from unlawful transactions conducted at a video poker outlet in Napoleonville, LA.
Those alleged illegal transactions involved fraudulent video poker cash out vouchers which were presented to the business as winning tickets on or about 01-06-2021. The aggregate amount of the three transactions totaled $1082.10.
The owner of the video poker establishment discovered potential discrepancies between his records and those of the video poker machine company during the scheduled tally.
Detectives initiated an investigation and subserviently identified three suspects, one of which was David Terrebonne.
Detectives learned that Terrebonne was incarcerated in Jefferson Parish. On Tuesday, David Terrebonne was transported to Assumption Parish and booked into the detention center on charges of:
*Felony Theft
*Monetary Instrument Abuse
David Terrebonne remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Previously arrested in connection with this same event was Tyrone Q. Wilson, 35, of 113 Raymond Street, Houma, LA.
Wilson was charged with counts of:
*Felony Theft
*Monetary Instrument Abuse
Wilson posted a $75,000 bond and was released to Calcasieu Parish authorities on March 15, 2021.
A third suspect remains at large. She is identified as Kamie Dupre, 25, of 311 McKinley Street, Houma, LA. and she faces charges of:
*Felony Theft
*Monetary Instrument Abuse
All three suspects are being investigated by other jurisdictions for related criminal activity.
