THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE – TACARA MARIE SCOTT

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tacara Marie Scott, 36, of 7128 Deanne Street, New Orleans, LA, on felony auto theft charges arising from an incident on August 16, 2023, in Napoleonville.

On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a complaint at a local retail outlet in reference to the theft of a 2014 F-150 Ford pickup truck.

Detectives initiated an investigation the same day and published the vehicle as stolen in the state database.

Later on, the same day, the Ascension Parish Jail stopped the stolen vehicle on I-10 east of Sorrento. The suspect driving the vehicle and the lone occupant was identified as Tacara Marie Scott. She was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.

Assumption Parish Sheriff’s detectives filed warrants charging Tacara Marie Scott with Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

Tacara Marie Scott was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on December 17, 2024. Tacara Marie Scott was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

Tacara Marie Scott remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
