THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, SIMPLE BURGLARY
VERIFIED COMPLAINT – 15-YEAR-OLD JUVENILE

PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports that a verified complaint has been filed against a 15year old juvenile in connection with the theft of an automobile from a Plattenville business establishment.

On August 23, 2021, deputies responded to a complaint at the business and made contact with the victim. Deputies learned that while the victim was inside the establishment, her vehicle was stolen.

Detectives commenced an investigation. A short time later, the vehicle was recovered in Bertrandville. Through investigation, detectives were able to identify the juvenile suspect.

Detectives filed a verified complaint charging the suspect with multiple offenses. The suspect fled the area and was apprehended on August 23, 2022, after engaging State Police in a vehicle pursuit in Prairieville, LA.

The juvenile was booked on charges of:

*Felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle
*Simple Burglary

The juvenile was from Napoleonville and was released to State Police.
