THEFT OF GOODS – JOEY ANTHONY CHOPLIN, JR.

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joey Anthony Choplin, Jr., 43, of 711 Highway 1000, Belle Rose, LA, on a warrant charging him with felony theft arising from an incident at a Pierre Part retail establishment on October 13, 2022.

Deputies responded to the complaint and met with management.

Deputies reviewed evidence accumulated during the investigation. The case involved the theft of power tools.

During the investigative process, deputies were able to identify the suspect as Joey Anthony Choplin, Jr.

Deputies applied for arrest warrants for Joey Anthony Choplin, Jr. which were granted.

On January 27, 2023, Joey Anthony Choplin, Jr. was arrested in St. Mary Parish.

Joey Anthony Choplin, Jr. was transported to Assumption Parish and booked into the detention center on charges of:

*Felony Theft

Joey Anthony Choplin, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
