THEFT, RESISTING ARREST, CRIMINAL DAMAGE
DARWIN ANTHONY FAIR

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Darwin Anthony Fair, 40, of 102 Grant Loop Road, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising from a theft complaint at a business near Paincourtville on Friday afternoon.

Deputies were dispatched and provided a suspect description and located the suspect, now identified as Darwin Anthony Fair, near the business establishment. The complaint was shoplifting in nature. Deputies interviewed the clerk as well as the suspect and determined that probable cause existed in order to make an arrest.

Deputies attempted to arrest Darwin Anthony Fair and Fair resisted those efforts.

Fair was taken into custody and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
*Theft
*Resisting Arrest by Force or Violence

Darwin Anthony Fair remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
