TRAFFIC – DRUG LAW VIOLATION – ERICK ALLEN BRUNNER
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Erick Allen Brunner, 38, of 107 Melissa Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic incident on LA 1 near Labadieville on Monday afternoon.
A uniformed patrol officer on assignment observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver / occupant and determined that the driver, now identified as Erick Allen Brunner, was driving under a suspended driver’s license.
Due to observation made by the investigating deputy, a K-9 was summoned to the violator’s location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded assorted drug paraphernalia and a quantity of meth-amphetamine.
Erick Allen Brunner was arrested and booked into the parish detention facility on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Speeding – 68/55 MPH Zone
*Possession of Marijuana
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
Erick Allen Brunner remains incarcerated with bond set at $12,400.
