TRAFFIC / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – CHRISTOPHER J. ADAMS
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Christopher J. Adams, 47, of 2602 Lake Polourde Road, Amelia, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a Wednesday evening traffic stop in the vicinity of LA 662 and U.S. 90.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Christopher J. Adams.
The deputy noted behavior consistent with illegal drug activity and decided additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested consent to search the vehicle and during that process, a quantity of methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia was seized.
Christopher J. Adams was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – (A Third Offense Felony)
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Proper Equipment Required on Vehicles
Christopher J. Adams remains incarcerated with bond set at $45,000.
