TRAFFIC / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – PAUL A. VEDROS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Paul A. Vedros, 54, of 125 Sycamore Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop north of Napoleonville Monday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Paul A Vedros, and proceeded to interview the violator. It was determined that Paul A. Vedros was driving under a suspended driver’s license. The deputy noted actions consistent with drug law violations and requested consent to search the suspect vehicle which was granted.
During the search process, deputies seized quantities of marijuana, alprazolam (Xanax), hydrocodone and methamphetamine.
Accordingly, Paul A. Vedros was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Xanax (Alprazolam)
*Possession of Hydrocodone
*Possession of Marijuana
*No Seat Belt
*Driving Under Suspension
*Turning Movements and Signals Required
Paul A. Vedros remains incarcerated with a bond set at $100,000.
