NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kenneth Spears, 29, of 1936 Pailet Street, Harvey, LA, on traffic and drug law violations following an investigative inquiry by a uniformed patrol officer.
The deputy observed a vehicle parked partially on the roadway and blocking a private driveway. The incident occurred late Tuesday night on LA 70 in Pierre Part. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time. Upon checking the registration of the vehicle, the return indicated that it was not valid and was uninsured.
The deputy requested a wrecker for the vehicle and proceeded to conduct an inventory as required. During that process, a quantity of marijuana was seized.
At some point, the driver, now identified as Kenneth Spears, presented at the scene and indicated the vehicle had run out of fuel.
Kenneth Spears did not possess a driver’s license. Base on all factors considered, Kenneth Spears was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*No Driver’s License
*No Insurance Security
*Invalid Vehicle Registration
*Possession of Marijuana (Third Offense Felony)
Kenneth Spears was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
