TREVAUGHN JAMAL FRANKLIN

LABADIEVILLE 泡ssumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Trevaughn Jamal Franklin, 22, of 251 Gabreten Lane, Thibodaux, LA, following a traffic stop near Violet Street in Labadieville, LA.

An I.C.E. Unit, conducting special operations, observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Sunday. The deputy effected a traffic stop near Violet Street and was able to identify the driver as Trevaughn Jamal Franklin. The deputy noted an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

The deputy engaged Franklin in conversation and as a result of that interview, deputies proceeded to search the vehicle. During that search, deputies seized marijuana and a quantity of Robitussin DM with codeine. Franklin had no documents supporting the cough suppressant with codeine.

Franklin was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Tail Lamps Required

*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances

*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

*Possession of Robitussin DM with Codeine without a Prescription

Trevaughn Jamal Franklin was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
