TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG – GUN LAW VIOLATIONS
KEENAN IVAN BOLDEN, MARTINA TATYANA RATLIFF
AMELIA – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Keenan Ivan Bolden, 22, of 13100 Stonefield Drive, Houston, Texas, and Martina Tatyana Ratliff, 26 of 7526 Dominique Place, New Orleans, LA, on felony charges arising from a traffic stop on U.S. 90 Tuesday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed an eastbound vehicle commit multiple traffic violations and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Keenan Ivan Bolden and conducted an officer / violator interview. The deputy noted a pungent odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The deputy then conducted an officer / passenger interview and noticed inconsistencies in the statements.
The deputy requested the presence of a K-9 unit at the scene. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle which produced positive results for the presence of controlled dangerous substances.
A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a substantial amount of controlled dangerous substances, associated drug paraphernalia, significant amount of U.S. currency and a firearm.
Keenan Ivan Bolden was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
*Money Laundering- Transaction Involving Proceeds of a Criminal Act
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Failure to Drive on Right Side of Road
*Speeding
Martina Tatyana Ratliff was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
*Money Laundering Transaction Involving Proceeds of a Criminal Act
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Keenan Ivan Bolden and Martina Tatyana Ratliff remain incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
