TRAFFIC INCIDENT-DRUG LAW VIOLATION – TYSIE MARIE DABNEY

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tysie Marie Dabney, 45, of 3217 Highway 70, Pierre Part, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 West near Paincourtville on Wednesday afternoon.

A narcotics agent on assignment observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. As the vehicle continued to ride the shoulder for a period of time, the agent observed the passenger to be moving swiftly inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and the agent made contact with the driver and one passenger now identified as Tysie Marie Dabney. The agent conducted interviews of the driver and Tysie Marie Dabney.

Due to circumstances at the time of the stop, the agent requested the presence of a female patrol deputy. The deputy conducted a protective pat down search as well as an invasive search of Tysie Marie Dabney. During that search, a quantity of methamphetamine was seized.

Tysie Marie Dabney was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Methamphetamine

Tysie Marie Dabney remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
