TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – ISAAC GENE FUHRER
BAYOU L’OURES – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Isaac Gene Fuhrer, 21, of 516 Belanger Street, Morgan City, LA, on felony charges arising from a traffic stop late Sunday night.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a northbound vehicle on LA 662 with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Isaac Gene Fuhrer. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview and upon completion of that process concluded that additional investigation was warranted.
Out of precaution, the deputy conducted a pat down search of Isaac Gene Fuhrer. While doing so, multiple doses of suspected Alprazolam were seized from the suspect’s person. Isaac Gene Fuhrer was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Dim Headlights
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, to Wit: Alprazolam
(Zanax)
Isaac Gene Fuhrer was on probation at the time of this arrest for Felony Simple Burglary in the 16th Judicial District.
Isaac Gene Fuhrer remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
