TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Kirby Lane Bergeron, 46, of 108 Pine Street, Labadieville, LA and Ryan Joseph LeBlanc, 35, of 116 Pine Street, Labadieville, LA on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 1 near Napoleonville on Wednesday afternoon.
A detective unit observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The detective engaged the driver, now identified as Kirby Lane Bergeron into an officer / violator interview. While in that process, the detective noted conditions and behavior consistent with illegal drug activity.
The detective requested consent to search the suspect vehicle which was granted. During that search, quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were seized.
Kirby Lane Bergeron and Ryan Joseph LeBlanc were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as follows:
– Kirby Lane Bergeron:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Kirby Lane Bergeron remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
-Ryan Joseph LeBlanc:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Marijuana
Ryan Joseph LeBlanc remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
