TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
DEIRDRE MARIE GUIDRY
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Deirdre Marie Guidry, 61, of 18163 East Main Street, Galliano, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic incident in the 3300 block of LA 308 late Monday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy was dispatched to the area in connection to an automobile crash. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the driver of the crash involved vehicle now identified as Deirdre Marie Guidry.
Deputies noted an odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from Guidry’s person. Deirdre Marie Guidry was administered field sobriety tests at which time she performed poorly.
During the investigation, Deirdre Marie Guidry was found to be in possession of multiple doses of morphine sulphate without a valid prescription as well as marijuana bi-products.
Deputies secured a search warrant for blood alcohol determination purposes and transported Guidry to a health care facility to secure blood samples.
Deirdre Marie Guidry was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Driving While Intoxicated
*Possession of Morphine
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Driving under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Reckless Operation with an Accident
Deirdre Marie Guidry was incarcerated and released on a $20,000 bond.
