TRAFFIC INCIDENT- DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – CURTIS PAUL GAUDET
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Curtis Paul Gaudet, 53, of 208 Vivian St., Bayou L’Ourse, La., on multiple felony charges arising from a traffic incident in the Bayou L’Ourse area on Tuesday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed an off-road vehicle on LA. 663 near Rayne Court. The driver had no safety helmet. The deputy attempted to stop the off-road vehicle which was being driven by Curtis Paul Gaudet. The suspect driver attempted to evade the deputy and while doing so, attempted to discard items from his pockets.
The deputy was able to arrest Curtis Paul Gaudet, and the deputy was able to recover the items Gaudet attempted to discard. Deputies did recover a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Curtis Paul Gaudet was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Resisting an Officer
*Off-Road Vehicles on Roadway
*No Safety Helmet
*Fugitive – St. Mary Parish – Driving Under Suspension
Curtis Paul Gaudet remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
