TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

NAPOLEONVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Charles Daggs, Jr., 65, of 125 Coleman Johnson Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug law violations arising from a Thursday evening traffic stop south of Napoleonville.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Charles Daggs, Jr. and conducted an officer / violator interview. The deputy noted conditions normally associated with illegal drug activity and believed that additional investigation was warranted.
The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During the search process, deputies seized a quantity of MDMA (Ecstasy)
Charles Daggs, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) with Intent to Distribute
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Disregarding a Stop Sign
*Resisting an Officer
Charles Daggs, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
