TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
KENTRELL LANG – I.C.E. ARREST
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kentrell Lang, 42, of 212 Telegraph Street, Napoleonville, LA, on charges arising from a traffic stop early Tuesday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle in the vicinity of LA 308 and Spur 70 commit a traffic violation.
The I.C.E. assigned deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, now identified as Kentrell Lang. As Lang exited his vehicle and approached the deputy, the officer noted what appeared to be a clear bag with suspected controlled dangerous substances encased in the palm of the suspect’s hand.
When the deputy ordered Kentrell Lang to release the contraband from his hand, the suspect attempted to ingest the drug.
At some point during a struggle with the officer, Kentrell Lang released the package from his mouth.
Kentrell Lang was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Prohibited Acts – Schedule II Drugs
*Obstruction of Justice
*No Driver’s License
*Resisting an Officer
*Proper Equipment Required on Vehicles
*Insurance Security Required
*Turning Movements and Required Signals
Kentrell Lang remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
