TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
MAISON GARRET RIVERE – I.C.E. ARREST
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Maison Garret Rivere, 32, of 1603 Highway 402, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 403 west of Paincourtville, LA Monday afternoon.
A uniformed patrol deputy working the I.C.E. assignment observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and attempted to stop the subject vehicle. The deputy was eventually able to execute the stop and made contact with the driver now identified as Maison Garret Rivere. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview and upon completion of that process, the deputy concluded that additional investigation was warranted.
The deputy arrested Rivere and conducted an inventory search of the suspect vehicle and did seize methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Maison Garret Rivere was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Speeding – 80/55
*Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Flight from an Officer
*Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles (Felony – 2 Counts)
*Prohibited Acts – Schedule 1
Maison Garret River remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
