TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
DEMONE DEQUINCY JONES – I.C.E. ARREST
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Demone Dequincy Jones, 23, of 8686 Coy Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a Saturday evening traffic stop north of Napoleonville, LA
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near LA 1 and College Point Lane and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview and during that process, the driver now identified as Demone Dequincy Jones acknowledged the presence of suspected marijuana in the vehicle. The marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia were seized.
Demone Dequincy Jones was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*No Driver’s License
*Speeding
Demone Dequincy Jones remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
