TRAFFIC INCIDENT – FELONY DRUG ARREST-QUINTERO JUPITER

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Quintero Jupiter, 40, of 611 North Canal Boulevard, Thibodaux, La., on felony drug charges arising from a traffic incident in Labadieville on Friday morning.

A narcotics agent observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and attempted a stop of that vehicle. The suspect driver continued on and was observed throwing an item over the Labadieville bridge into Bayou Lafourche.

The suspect vehicle was eventually stopped. The driver now identified as Quintero Jupiter was arrested.

A short time later agents recovered a quantity of MDMA (Ecstasy) from the bayou.

Quintero Jupiter was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession With Intent to Distribute MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Obstruction of Justice
*Flight From an Officer
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Detainer- Probation and Parole

Quintero Jupiter was ordered held without bond on the Probation / Parole Detainer and awaits a bond hearing on the remaining charges.
