TRAFFIC INCIDENT – PURSUIT
TATE JOSEPH MOURET
BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tate Joseph Mouret, 27, of 2191 Highway 1, South, Donaldsonville, La., on felony charges following a traffic incident near Belle Rose on Saturday.
A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and attempted to initiate a stop of that vehicle. The driver fled northbound into Ascension Parish, driving into the opposing lane numerous times and forcing vehicles off of the roadway.
The deputy was able to successfully end the pursuit without incident and arresting the suspect driver, Tate Joseph Mouret. The deputy booked Tate Joseph Mouret into the Ascension Parish Jail as a fugitive from Assumption Parish. Tate Joseph Mouret was then transported to Assumption Parish and booked into the detention facility on charges of:
*Driving While Intoxicated (Felony)
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
*Resisting an Officer (2 Counts)
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Speeding
*Driving Under a Suspended / Revoked Drivers License
Mouret has been sited multiple times for DWI within the last ten years.
Tate Joseph Mouret remains incarcerated with a bond set at $26,000.
