TRAFFIC STOP – D.W.I. FOURTH OFFENSE
RUDY J. ALBARADO, JR.
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Rudy Albarado, Jr., 55, of 6656 Highway 996, Belle Rose, LA, on Felony D.W.I. charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 in Pierre Part late Friday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on LA 70 commit multiple traffic violations and conducted a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Rudy J. Albarado, Jr., and engaged Albarado in an officer / violator interview. The deputy noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the person of Albarado as well as the suspect vehicle. It was determined that that Rudy J. Albarado, Jr. was driving under a suspended driver’s license.
The deputy conducted field sobriety testing of the subject driver who performed poorly.
Rudy J. Albarado, Jr. was arrested and transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where a chemical test for intoxication was conducted.
Rudy J. Albarado, Jr. was booked and incarcerated on charges of:
*Driving While Intoxicated – Fourth Offense
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Use of Multiple Beam Road Lighting Equipment
*Proper Equipment Required on Vehicles
*Turning Movement and Signals Required
Rudy J. Albarado, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
