TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG / GUN LAW VIOALTIONS
ALEX JOHN FALGOUT
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Alex John Falgout, 23, of 318 Whipperwool Drive, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on felony gun related charges arising from a traffic stop at LA 1 and LA 398 in Labadieville.
A uniformed patrol deputy on special assignment observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver and initiated an officer / violator interview. At the conclusion of that interview, the deputy made contact with a passenger now identified as Alex John Falgout. The deputy interviewed Falgout and at the conclusion of that interview, the deputy believed additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During the ensuing search, a firearm and a quantity of suspected marijuana was seized. The seized evidence was attributed to Alex John Falgout.
The suspect, Alex John Falgout, was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*No Seat Belt
Alex John Falgout remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
