TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Casey Drew Arthur, 30, of 414 Isle of Cuba Road, Schriever, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop by an I.C.E. assigned deputy.

The special operations deputy observed a vehicle near LA 662 and LA 663 commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop on Thursday afternoon. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Casey Drew Arthur.

During the interview process, the deputy observed activity and conditions consistent with illegal drug activity.

As part of the process, the suspect vehicle was searched and a quantity of meth-amphetamine was seized.

Casey Drew Arthur was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*No Seat Belt
*Expired Inspection Sticker

Casey Drew Arthur was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
