TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Rebecca Ann Corbett, 44, of 120 Burchfield Lane, Berwick, LA, on a felony drug charge following a traffic stop in Pierre Part on Friday evening.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle in the 3000 block of LA 70 commit a violation and proceeded to stop the violator.

The deputy made contact with the driver as well as two passengers, one of which is identified as Rebecca Ann Corbett.

The deputy noted Corbett’s behavior was suspicious. The deputy obtained consent to search the vehicle. At some point during the investigation process, deputies noted Corbett to be in possession of a quantity of meth-amphetamine.

Rebecca Ann Corbett was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:

*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine

Corbett was incarcerated with bond set at $20,000.
