TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION – EDWARD LARKIN BEESON
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Edward Larkin Beeson, 61, of 6812 Highway 1, Belle Rose, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a Thursday evening traffic stop on LA 70 in Pierre Part.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver and one passenger, now identified as Edward Larkin Beeson.
The deputy made observations consistent with illegal drug activity and thought that additional investigation was warranted.
Consent to search the vehicle was secured by the deputy. During the search process, a quantity of meth-amphetamine was seized and attributed to Edward Larkin Beeson.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
Edward Larkin Beeson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
