TRAFFIC STOP, DRUG LAW VIOLATION – NICHOLAS JOHN FABRIZIO
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Nicholas John Fabrizio, 30, of 1421 Kentucky Street, New Orleans, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop in Napoleonville on Thursday morning.
Narcotics officers on assignment observed a vehicle near Washington Street commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Nicholas John Fabrizio and engaged the driver in an officer / violator interview. At the conclusion of that interview, agents believed additional investigation was warranted.
A K-9 unit was summoned to the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances.
A search of the suspect vehicle resulted in the seizure of multiple doses of controlled dangerous substances.
Nicholas John Fabrizio was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Oxycodone
*Possession of Adderall
*No Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag
*Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Nicholas John Fabrizio remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
