TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION – LOUIS JOSEPH SIMONEAUX
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Louis Joseph Simoneaux, 40, of 231 Highway 1011, Napoleonville, La., on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA.1 near Napoleonville on Tuesday afternoon.
A narcotics agent observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle and proceeded to interview the driver. At the conclusion of that initial interview, the agent contacted the passenger now identified as Louis Joseph Simoneaux. At the conclusion of the interview process, the agent believed additional investigation was warranted. The agent requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During the search, agents seized a quantity of methamphetamine which was attributed to Louis Joseph Simoneaux.
Agent’s arrested Louis Joseph Simoneaux and booked him into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine

Louis Joseph Simoneaux remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
