TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Justin J. Fair, 37, of 171 Miles Street, Paincourtville, LA, on charges related to a traffic stop on Thursday evening.

A narcotics unit on assignment, in the area of LA 1 and LA 1010, observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The narcotics agents observed the right front seat passenger throw packages out of the window on multiple occasions.

Both the driver and passenger were detained while agents and deputies investigated. During that process, a quantity of suboxone was recovered.

The passenger, now identified as Justin J. Fair, was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Suboxone

Justin J. Fair remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
