TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Keith Murphy Nailer, 34, of 314 Williams Street, Donaldsonville, LA, on felony drug and traffic charges following an investigative stop Thursday.

A patrol deputy on assignment in the Paincourtville area observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 70 East.

The deputy conducted a stop of the vehicle and identified the driver as Keith Murphy Nailer.

While interviewing Nailer, the officer noted activity by the suspect consistent with drug violators.

At a point during the interview, Keith Murphy Nailer consented to a search of his vehicle. During the search, deputies seized a quantity of suspected Heroin and U.S. currency.

Keith Murphy Nailer was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute
*Speeding
*Driving Under Suspension
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag

Keith Murphy Nailer was incarcerated with bond set at $35,000.
