TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
JUDE MICHAEL METREJEAN
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jude Michael Metrejean, 33, of 28201 Highway 40, Independence, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop Tuesday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a north-bound vehicle on LA 1 commit a traffic violation. The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle and made contact with the driver, now identified as Jude Michael Metrejean.
The deputy was able to determine that Metrejean was driving on a suspended license. The deputy noted the suspect to be acting in a nervous manner. The deputy detained Metrejean in the interest of officer / violator safety. A consent was obtained to search the suspect.
During that process, quantities of anabolic steroids and crystal meth was seized.
Jude Michael Metrejean was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Anabolic Steroids
*Driving Under Suspension
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Illegal Window Tint
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
Jude Michael Metrejean was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
