TRAFFIC STOP, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – LYSA MARIE FABRE
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Lysa Marie Fabre, 36, of 109 Odile Street, Morgan City, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 662 in Bayou L’Ourse on Saturday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Lysa Marie Fabre, and conducted an officer / violator interview. At the conclusion of the interview, the deputy felt that further investigation was warranted.
A K-9 was summoned to the stop location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of illegal narcotics.
The vehicle was searched, and a quantity of methamphetamine was seized.
Lysa Marie Fabre was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Failure to Dim Headlights
Lysa Marie Fabre was incarcerated and released on a $2500 bond.
