TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
JOVIAN JEROME CLARK, SUMMER MARAE GAUDET

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Jovian Jerome Clark, 41, of 173 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA and Summer Marae Gaudet, 28, of 2211 Lake Palourde Road, Morgan City, LA 70380, on felony drug charges arising from a Sunday afternoon traffic stop in the 1100 block of LA Highway 662 in Bayou L’Ourse.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Jovian Jerome Clark. The deputy noted both to display signs of illegal drug activity. The deputy noted a pungent odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

The deputy requested consent to search the vehicle which was granted. The ensuing search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of methamphetamine.

Jovian Jerome Clark and Summer Marae Gaudet were both arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as follows:

– Jovian Jerome Clark was charged with:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Obstruction of Justice
*Turning Movements and Signals Required

– Summer Marae Gaudet was charged with:
*Possession of Methamphetamine

Jovian Jerome Clark remains incarcerated with bond set at $30,000.

Summer Marae Gaudet remains incarcerated with bond set at $15,000
