TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
LYNN FRANCIS CARRERE, JR.
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Lynn Francis Carrere, Jr., 38, of 111 Roselawn Avenue, Houma, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 in Pierre Part on Friday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy commenced an interview with the driver, now identified as Lynn Francis Carrere, Jr. and in doing so determined Carrere’s driver’s license was currently suspended.
At the conclusion of that interview, the deputy felt that additional investigation was warranted and requested consent to search the vehicle which was granted. During the search process, a quantity of methamphetamine was drug paraphernalia was seized.
Lynn Francis Carrere, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Stop Lamps and Signals Required
Lynn Francis Carrere, Jr. remains incarcerated with bond set at $45,000.
